Shipping Clerk – 1st Shift
📍 Location:Wickliffe, OH
🕗 Hours: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (OT as needed; occasional 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
💲 Pay: $18-$20/hr
🔧 Job Responsibilities
1️⃣ Process and prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and documentation
2️⃣ Verify incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality
3️⃣ Maintain accurate records using computer systems and shipping software
4️⃣ Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups/deliveries
5️⃣ Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely
6️⃣ Perform inventory checks and assist with stock organization
7️⃣ Ensure all shipping paperwork is completed accurately and on time
8️⃣ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
9️⃣ Follow all plant safety procedures and company policies
🔟 Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers
1️⃣1️⃣ Assist with additional warehouse or shipping tasks as needed
✅ Requirements
🎓 High School Diploma or equivalent
💻 Proficiency with computers (data entry, shipping systems, basic programs)
🔍 Strong attention to detail and accuracy
🚜 Forklift experience required
🗣 Good communication and organizational skills
📦 Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
💉 Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
⚠️ Work Environment
Facility is not climate-controlled (no heat in winter, no air conditioning in summer).
Dress appropriately for conditions; work may be physically demanding and can get dirty.
Uniform provided upon hire.
