Mancan in partnership with an Ashtabula industrial company is hiring for a Machine Operator on 2nd shift: 3pm-11:15pm. Pay starts out at $16.50 an hour & increases to $17.50 once permanent
Job Description Summary
Good with math and measurements? Willing to learn machines? We are looking for self-motivated and reliable individuals to join our manufacturing team. You will work with plastics and non-metallic composite materials used in electrical appliances, transportation systems, and infrastructure products that help power modern living.
Primary Responsibilities
* Review orders and instructions, follow proper procedures, and complete jobs safely and efficiently
* Consistently follow safety procedures and inspect work to ensure quality standards are met
* Assist with machine setup and operation
* Monitor production processes and perform quality checks on finished products
* Organize and clean work areas
* Prepare materials and products for production and shipping
* Support production teams with troubleshooting and additional duties as needed
* Maintain strong attendance and reliability
Qualifications
* Good math and measurement skills
* Willingness to learn machines and manufacturing processes
* Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
* Must be safety-oriented and dependable
