Mancan is in partnership with a with a Wellsburg fabrication company looking for a General Laborer is a growing company specializing in fabrication and services. We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Laborer to join our team. This role will offer variety, assisting with fabrication, carpentry, welding, and shipping/receiving duties.
As a General Laborer, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations by helping with warehouse tasks, maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, assisting with fabrication duties, and performing carpentry and welding tasks. Additionally, you will support the shipping and receiving team with loading and unloading shipments. This position requires a good mix of hands-on skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general shop maintenance and warehouse duties, including cleaning and organizing materials.
Support the fabrication team with carpentry tasks, welding, and assembly of materials as needed.
Help with shipping and receiving, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders.
Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Accurately read and use measuring tools, including a tape measure, for various tasks.
Assist with loading and unloading shipments and ensuring proper documentation for deliveries and orders.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of previous experience in carpentry, welding.
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Basic understanding of safety procedures in a shop or warehouse environment.
Must pass a measurement test to demonstrate proficiency.
Must be able to provide three professional references from past supervisors.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the shop for the duration of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a warehouse or fabrication environment.
