Flooring Technician
A local flooring and carpet cleaning company is seeking a motivated and dependable Flooring Technician to join their team. This position involves both residential and commercial flooring and carpet cleaning services. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong customer service skills, and is not afraid of hard work.
Starting Pay:
• $17/hr with no experience
• Up to $19/hr based on relevant experience
Schedule:
• Typically 30–40 hours per week
• Flexible schedule required
• Must be able to work days, afternoons, and occasional evenings/weekends
• Commercial jobs are often scheduled during evenings and weekends
Job Duties:
• Measure rooms and calculate square footage
• Prepare customer invoices and calculate sales tax
• Operate truck-mounted carpet cleaning equipment and flooring machinery
• Drive company box trucks to job sites
• Perform carpet and floor cleaning services for residential and commercial customers
• Maintain equipment and assist with machine upkeep
• Provide excellent customer service while on-site
• Follow flooring procedures, safety practices, and cleaning processes
Requirements:
• Basic math skills required
• Comfortable using measurements, calculations, and invoicing
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with small engines and machinery preferred
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Positive attitude and professional appearance
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Training Provided:
The company will train employees on:
• Carpet and floor cleaning techniques
• Chemical usage and safety
• Fiber identification
• Equipment and machine maintenance
• Flooring procedures and industry processes
