Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Mancan Medina is seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.
This position is a DIRECT HIRE! Pay between $24-$42hr. depending on exp.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel trucks and heavy equipment
Perform preventative maintenance services (oil changes, filter replacements, inspections, etc.)
Repair or replace defective parts including engines, transmissions, brakes, and drivetrains
Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues
Perform DOT inspections and ensure equipment compliance
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency roadside or field repairs when needed Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Communicate repairs and recommendations clearly to supervisors or fleet managers
Requirements
1 ½ years experience as a heavy diesel mechanic is a must
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not always required)
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
ASE Diesel Certification (or equivalent experience)
Experience with heavy trucks, construction equipment, or fleet maintenance
CDL Class A or B license
DOT inspection certification
