Shipping Coordinator

Mancan Staffing has teamed up with a steel company in Mogadore who is looking for experienced Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join the team.
This is temp to hire. Must have good attendance and experience with all the of job duties.
Steel toed work boots required. Must have a valid driver's license with 2 points.
Must be willing to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical.
6am-2pm Monday - Friday
Pay rate is $22.06
Must have prior experience with logistics; Calling in LTL trucks and setting up Flatbeds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Preform all shipping and receiving duties.
• Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destine for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier of choice based on price and delivery time.
• Instruct truck drivers on daily priorities for delivery.
• Instruct utility workers on daily priorities for packing.
• Gather jobs and deliver them to the Utility workers so they are not searching for steel.
• Responsible for making visual inspections of parts prior to packing with a total piece count. And again, visual inspection after items are packed with digital documentation of the shipment for our records.
• Prepare work orders to be sent out into manufacturing area with all necessary documentation.
• Receive completed work order from the shop and process as needed.
• Keep track of all subcontracted work orders and update supervisors on status via spreadsheet of posted information on the board in the shipping office.
• Scrap Bins: Monitor levels of scrap bins. Call and schedule steel scrap trucks as needed.
