Position Title: Apartment Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of residential apartment communities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance. This role ensures residents enjoy a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment while responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general maintenance and repair work on apartments, buildings, and grounds.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues.
• Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and repairs between resident move-ins.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report issues to management.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Assist with emergency maintenance calls and after-hours service as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local building codes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous apartment maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
