Inside Sales Representative – Coshocton, OH Manufacturer
A well-established manufacturer in Coshocton is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing customer orders from entry through shipment, assisting with pricing and product inquiries, and serving as a key liaison between customers, sales, production, and other internal departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide professional customer service via telephone and email by answering questions, checking inventory availability, providing pricing information, and resolving customer concerns or complaints.
• Enter customer purchase orders into the order entry system and manage orders throughout the entire process, including production, shipment, and post-delivery follow-up.
• Verify pricing, calculate quotes when necessary, and confirm customer delivery requirements.
• Check inventory availability and coordinate special delivery requests or commitments as needed.
• Ensure accurate order entry with proper lead times and review orders for accuracy before processing.
• Process order changes, cancellations, and necessary documentation.
• Coordinate order releases for shipment and verify products are scheduled and delivered according to customer requirements.
• Create purchase orders for outside vendors when products are being shipped directly to customers, ensuring correct costs, delivery dates, shipping information, and contact details.
• Process return authorizations (RGA/RMA), customer concerns, and documentation related to product issues.
• Assist with customer invoice follow-up and prepare credit memos when necessary.
• Support outside sales representatives with requests including pricing, submittals, and customer-related needs.
• Scan and maintain completed order documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
• Provide coverage and support for other Inside Sales Representatives during absences, vacations, appointments, or high-volume periods.
• Assist other departments by obtaining or providing necessary information related to credit, sales, accounting, and customer accounts.
• Review coworkers’ orders for accuracy when needed.
• Prepare reports and assist with sales office operations in the absence of the Sales Office Manager.
• Assist with bi-monthly Saturday inventory counts and annual inventory activities.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; additional college coursework or a business-related degree is preferred.
• Minimum of two years of customer service and order entry experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience communicating professionally with internal teams and external customers through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Strong computer skills and experience with ERP systems (D365 experience preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to continuously improve processes.
