Canton Mancan Temporary Staffing Employment Agency is assisting a South Canton Company in hiring a Machine Operator Assistant
Payrate : $17.00
Job Description:
Assist with loading and unloading steel coils onto payoff equipment safely and efficiently.
Operate chain hoists and jib cranes to position and install take-up mandrels.
Cut and replace steel banding on raw and finished coils while following safety procedures.
Stretch wrap finished skids to prepare products for storage and shipment.
Support shipping and receiving by loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials.
Perform general production support duties during downtime, including housekeeping, floor sweeping, light maintenance, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Complete additional general labor tasks and special projects as assigned to support daily operations and production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Entry end:
Hang Coil
Cut Bands
Move Skids Forward
Spin Mandrel
Exit End:
Cut strip
Remove coil w/ Strip/jib crane
Band coil with 3 bands
Assist in packaging
Move weigh full skids
Return to entry end for next coil when horn sounds.
Adjust brake Pressure
Cut last band & pull strip to welder
Re-adjust brake pressure
Hang more coils
Walk to exit end BEFORE weld reaches take-up mandrel
Qualifications:
Valid DL and reliable trandportation are a MUST, Basic Math Skills, Tape Measure Test required, willingness to learn and puntuatility with no attendance issues.
No hoodies, no loose clothing, no chains or hanging jewelry, phones MUST stay stay in pocket unless on break or lunch.
