Forklift Operator

Mancan is working with a company in Mt Vernon seeking a forklift operator. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6am-3pm. Pay starts at $18/hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, forms, and finished precast concrete products throughout the plant and storage yard.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring products are properly secured to prevent damage.
- Transport materials to production areas to support manufacturing operations.
- Stack and organized finished products in designated storage locations.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Assist with general labor and production tasks as needed during downtime.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Experience handling large, heavy, or oversized materials is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
