Job Title: Crate Builder / Manufacturing Associate
Location: Burgettstown, PA
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM Mandatory overtime may be required on Fridays based on production demands. Saturday overtime is rare but may be required occasionally.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Position Summary
Mancan is in partnership with a local company seeking a dependable and motivated Crate Builder / Manufacturing Associate. This position is responsible for building custom wooden crates to safely package finished doors for shipment while also assisting with assembly, machine operation, and other general manufacturing duties as needed.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Team members should be flexible and willing to move between departments and tasks based on production needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Build custom wooden crates to safely package finished doors for shipment.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood components using hand and power tools.
• Assemble products using drills, saws, punches, pneumatic hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Operate automated assembly equipment as needed, including machining centers, press brakes, laser cutters, and welding equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet Hörmann's quality standards.
• Read and accurately use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist with other manufacturing, assembly, and labor duties as assigned.
• Adapt to changing production needs by learning and performing different job functions throughout the facility.
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Experience working with manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• General math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Quick learner with the ability to work in multiple departments and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and walk for extended periods.
