Office Assistant

Mancan is working with a company in Mt Vernon looking for an office assistant. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm or 4pm. The pay is $17.50/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors in a professional manner
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain organized and accurate files, records, and documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the office and factory
- Provide professional customer service by phone, email, and in person
- Enter customer orders accurately and prepare order confirmations
- Print pick lists and other documentation for production and shipping
- Purchase ink, plant supplies, general office supplies, and other materials as needed
- Coordinate and process outgoing shipments
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Provide support for minor HR-related functions and administrative tasks such as keeping employee records and assisting with workers' compensation documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous office or administrative experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service skills
