🧼 Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor for a manufacturing facility in Eastlake. This position is responsible for keeping the facility clean, sanitary, organized, and safe. Cleaning responsibilities will include production areas, warehouses, offices, restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.
🧽 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
🧹 Sweep, mop, scrub, dust, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
🚻 Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
🧴 Clean sinks, toilets, fixtures, counters, tables, appliances, and high-touch surfaces.
🗑️ Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to designated areas.
🧻 Restock paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other janitorial supplies.
🪟 Clean windows, doors, walls, handrails, drinking fountains, and other facility surfaces.
🧼 Safely operate vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and other approved cleaning equipment after training.
⚠️ Respond promptly to spills and housekeeping concerns while following proper safety procedures.
🧹 Keep janitorial closets, tools, equipment, and supplies clean and organized.
🧤 Follow chemical labels, SDS guidelines, dilution instructions, and required PPE practices.
🏭 Work safely around production equipment, forklifts, loading areas, and material movement.
🔧 Report unsafe conditions, leaks, damage, maintenance concerns, pest activity, or supply needs to a supervisor.
🌤️ Assist with exterior entrances, walkways, and seasonal housekeeping duties as needed.
📋 Complete assigned cleaning schedules, checklists, and supply logs.
✅ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to cleanliness and workplace safety.
Ability to work cooperatively with employees and supervisors.
Previous janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
💪 Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
Ability to push and pull cleaning carts, waste containers, and cleaning equipment.
Ability to climb stairs and occasionally use an approved step stool or ladder when properly trained.
🦺 Work Environment
This position works throughout an active manufacturing facility and may involve exposure to noise, dust, odors, cleaning chemicals, temperature changes, moving equipment, and wet or slippery surfaces.
Required PPE may include safety glasses, safety footwear, gloves, hearing protection, and other protective equipment depending on the assigned area or task.
