💰 Pay Rate: Starting at $23.00–$24.00/hour
🛠️ Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join an industrial facility in Wickliffe, OH!
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with experience in industrial machinery, equipment repair, electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. We're looking for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, making repairs, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
🔧 Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts, overhead cranes, automatic doors, shop machinery, and other equipment
⚡ Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues
🔍 Identify wear, alignment issues, vibration, damaged components, and other equipment problems
🛠️ Repair or replace parts using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
🔥 Perform basic welding, grinding, cutting, and fabrication as needed
✅ Conduct routine inspections to identify mechanical and safety concerns
📦 Track tools, materials, and replacement parts
🔒 Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures
📝 Complete work orders and document repairs according to ISO 9001 standards
🧹 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
💬 Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams
👷 Work independently and manage daily maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
🎯 Qualifications
🎓 High school diploma or GED required
🧪 Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
🔧 Previous experience as an industrial maintenance technician, automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, auto body mechanic, or similar mechanical role preferred
⚙️ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
⚡ Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic experience is highly beneficial
🏭 Industrial machinery and equipment repair experience preferred
🛠️ Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
🔥 Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
🦺 Familiarity with workplace safety practices and mechanical repair procedures
💪 Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment issues
🏋️ Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on equipment throughout the shift
Frequently lift/carry up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to reach overhead, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
No lifting over 100 lbs. required
🏭 Work Environment
This position is within an industrial shop and production environment and may include exposure to:
🔊 Loud noise levels up to approximately 90 dB — hearing protection provided
🚜 Forklifts, overhead cranes, and moving equipment
🧤 Dust, dirt, oils, greases, coolant mist, and industrial chemicals — appropriate PPE provided
