Molding Technician

Mancan is working with a company in Berlin looking for 1st and 2nd shift mold maintenance technicians. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Pay is based on experience between $18.50-$26.88 per hour.
1st shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 4pm-midnight
Must be available for overtime on Saturdays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform duties to remove and install molds, pots, and accessories
- Complete reports and records as required
- Perform mold change setup for production and sample run
- Set up ejectors, knockouts, and slitters
- Hoist molds and fasten to top and bottom plates. Realign platforms and work stations with presses
- Report press breakdowns or malfunctions to maintenance and make minors repairs as needed
- Clean molds and pots. Maintain cleaning tanks including routine test and adjustments or changing of caustic solution
- Inspect molds for damage and replace damaged inserts, hinge pins, wasteless boards, etc.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the shift
- Prior experience in a similar role is required
