**Position Summary**
We are seeking an experienced **Welder** to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for welding metal components using various arc and gas welding processes to fabricate and repair products, assemblies, machine parts, and other metal components.
### Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Weld metal components using **MIG, arc, and gas welding processes**.
* Inspect parts for defects and report quality concerns.
* Perform **grinding, buffing, bending, and straightening** of metal components.
* Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and modify metal parts as required.
* Fabricate and repair metal components as needed.
* Position, fixture, and clamp fabricated components prior to welding.
* Use measuring equipment, including **tape measures**, to verify specifications.
* Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Complete required **quality checks, tags, and production documentation** accurately.
* Follow all established safety procedures and wear required PPE.
### Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Previous welding, fabrication, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
* Must be able to **pass an in-house weld test or possess welding certification**.
* **Blueprint reading is a plus.**
* Ability to read and understand work instructions and basic written documentation.
* Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and measurements.
* Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.

### Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
* Stand for extended periods.
* Bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry materials.
* Visually inspect products for defects.
* Hear alarms and communicate effectively in a manufacturing environment.
* Frequently lift/move up to **10 lbs.**
* Occasionally lift/move up to **50 lbs.**
* Work **8–12 hour shifts when overtime is required**.
### Work Environment
This position is performed in an **industrial manufacturing environment** with machinery, forklift traffic, and moderate noise levels. The facility may be non-climate-controlled, so employees should be comfortable working in both hot and cold temperatures and around normal manufacturing conditions such as dirt and dust.
