Chardon Mancan is partnering with a facility in Painesville that is searching for an Electropolish – Passivate – Wash Operator to join their team!
The parts finished in this department must meet the same tight tolerances as the parts being machined, making the EP-Passivate-Wash Operator the last line of defense before finished parts ship to customers! 🔍📦
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on process work, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time.
🔧 POSITION SUMMARY:
The EP-Passivate-Wash Operator will set up, operate, and run production on electropolish, passivation, and wash systems while following specific processing instructions for each job. This position requires careful handling of chemistry and equipment, detailed inspections, and maintaining clean and properly calibrated systems.
📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
🔹 Follow routers and specific processing instructions for each job
🔹 Load and unload parts onto fixtures
🔹 Process parts according to predetermined machine settings and cycle times
🔹 Adjust volts, amps, heat, and time according to job requirements
🔹 Inspect finished parts using gauges, microscopes, and surface analyzers
🔹 Maintain chemistry for electropolish, passivation, and wash systems
🔹 Monitor gauges, control panels, and timers for proper operation
🔹 Clean tanks and refill solutions as needed
🔹 Clean contacts and cathode bars
🔹 Perform routine equipment maintenance
🔹 Maintain high quality standards throughout the finishing process
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
🎓 High school diploma or equivalent
➗ Basic math and English skills
💻 Basic computer skills
🧪 Chemical safety awareness
⚙️ Basic knowledge of electropolish system controls, tooling, and fixtures
⚙️ Basic knowledge of passivation system controls, tooling, and fixtures
⚙️ Basic knowledge of wash system controls, tooling, and fixtures
⭐ PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
🔹 Previous experience in a precision machining or metal-finishing environment
🔹 Basic knowledge of waste-treatment procedures
