Mancan Staffing Agency is looking for a Maintenance and Facilities Technician for our client in Naples, FL.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance and Facilities Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and operational continuity of the 22,000 square foot facility, including offices, classrooms, and program hall spaces. This role ensures a safe, clean, and fully functional environment for staff, program participants, and community members by performing routine maintenance and basic repairs across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, minimizing the need for outside vendors on small or routine issues.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist with practical trade knowledge and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving facility issues before they become larger. This is an on-site role requiring flexibility to respond to maintenance needs as they arise, including occasional support for events held outside standard business hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repair of HVAC systems, including filter changes, basic troubleshooting, and coordinating vendor service when repairs exceed in-house capability
• Address basic electrical issues, including outlets, switches, light fixtures, and lamp/bulb replacement
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including clogs, running toilets, faucet leaks, and minor fixture replacement
• Conduct general building repairs such as drywall patching, painting, door/lock adjustments, and furniture repair
• Monitor building systems and conduct regular walkthroughs to proactively identify maintenance needs
• Set up and break down furniture, equipment, and AV needs (Zoom, PowerPoint, projector, laptop, etc.) for programs, meetings, and events
• Maintain a preventive maintenance schedule and basic maintenance log/records

Additional Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for repairs or services beyond scope
• Assist with grounds upkeep, exterior building maintenance, and light landscaping as needed
• Support seasonal/holiday facility preparation (decorations, signage, security readiness)
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
• Respond to facility-related emergencies (water leaks, power outages, HVAC failures) in a timely manner
• Assist with life-safety system checks (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency lighting) and coordinate required inspections
• Support other departments with occasional physical/logistical tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for maintaining facilities excellence, a commitment to mission-driven work, and pride in their work product. They will possess:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification a plus
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related trade
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; relevant trade certification(s) (e.g., EPA 608, Building Operator Certification) strongly preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools common to facilities maintenance
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods; as well as the balance necessary to climb ladders as needed
• Availability for occasional evening or weekend work to support events or emergencies

CORE COMPETENCIES:
A practical, resourceful problem-solver with broad working knowledge across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and the judgment to know when an issue can be handled in-house versus when it requires a licensed vendor. Strong hands-on trade skills paired with reliability, sound safety practices, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable managing competing priorities in a small, community-facing organ
