Prep Cook

Mancan is working with a restaurant in Walnut Creek looking for a prep cook. This is a temp to hire opportunity. Hours vary and may include Saturdays and holidays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. This is a part time position. Pay is based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow recipes
- Clean food prep equipment and work area
- Check schedules to determine what and how much of each item should be made
- Ensure items are covered, stored, and dated properly, rotating stock using first in, first out method
Qualifications:
- Prior experience preferred but not required
- Great communication skills and strong attention to detail
- ServSafe certification preferred, but training will be provided if you do not have one
- Must be able to read and follow recipes
- Must be able to lift 10-30 pounds
