Location: Wooster, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hr., based on experience
Mancan is seeking a Turret Lathe Machinist to join a local manufacturing team. This is a full-time, 1st-shift opportunity with competitive pay based on relevant machining experience.
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate turret lathes
• Install tooling and set machine stops
• Produce quality parts while meeting production requirements
• Perform fastener setups
• Read and work from blueprints
• Use micrometers and calipers accurately
• Inspect parts and verify dimensions
• Sharpen chamfering and cut-off tooling
• Make simple tooling as needed
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including greasing and oiling
• Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work independently while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
• Previous machining or turret lathe experience
• Ability to accurately use micrometers and calipers
• Blueprint reading and understanding of dimensions
• Ability to perform machine setups with minimal supervision
• Ability to recognize and correct quality or machine issues
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good mechanical aptitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
