Mancan is assisting a local manufacturing company in Hartville hiring a Production Material Handler/Forklift for their 1st shift team!
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $16.00+ BOE
Job Summary
The Production Material Handler is responsible for ensuring production machines are properly supplied with the materials and components needed to keep production running efficiently. This includes stocking materials, packaging supplies, screws, boxes, and other components, as well as removing materials from completed jobs.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions
Communication
• Communicate with the previous shift Material Handler regarding ongoing work and priorities.
• Meet with the Foreman at the beginning of each shift to receive direction and determine priorities.
Material Handling & Machine Stocking
• Ensure machines have the correct materials, blends, colorants, and supplies needed for production.
• Monitor materials and replenish supplies before machines run out.
• Stock machines with work-in-process components and packaging materials.
• Supply clean, empty containers for scrap parts and runners.
• Use the company scanning system and work orders to determine material and component requirements.
• Return unused materials and components to their proper locations using scanning procedures.
Production Support
• Move finished goods from machines after scanning is completed.
• Wrap skids before placing finished products in the warehouse.
• Assist with the proper use of regrind on applicable jobs.
• Keep old or unusable skids organized in designated areas.
• Clean hoppers and material containers using the provided vacuum equipment.
• Mix resins and colorants according to manufacturing specifications.
• Dry resins according to manufacturing specifications.
• Keep machines and auxiliary equipment clean and free of spilled materials.
• Assist with production needs and help maintain an organized work area.
• Provide backup support for the Mold Setter as needed.
Safety & Housekeeping
• Follow all company SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper equipment when handling materials.
• Safety is always the top priority.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or material-handling experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle production materials.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
