Mancan is currently looking for a trades specalist/ skilled laborer for a client in Cape Coral.
Position Summary
Under the direction of a designated supervisor, performs maintenance and repair work throughout City buildings, facilities and grounds. This temporary position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require driving.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform maintenance and repairs in assigned trades, including, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work.
• Complete general upkeep such as changing air filters, repairing doors and windows, painting and pressure washing.
• Safely operate hand tools and follow established safety procedures.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and assigned facility projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Work cooperatively with City staff and interact courteously with the public.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of relevant maintenance, construction or skilled trades experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools, materials and safe work practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, interpret job-related drawings and complete assigned tasks accurately.
Schedule and Working Conditions
Work is performed in buildings and outdoor areas. Must report according to the assigned schedule.
Must be able to pass finger printing
Must pass drug screen
Must have reliable transportation.
