Chardon Mancan is partnering with a manufacturing facility in Painesville that is searching for a dependable, detail-oriented Metal Polisher / Electropolish Operator to join their 1st shift team!
This position plays a critical role in the final finishing process, ensuring metal components meet strict quality, cleanliness, and surface-finish standards before being shipped to customers.
🔧 POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Metal Polisher / Electropolish Operator, you will be responsible for processing and finishing precision metal components using electropolishing, passivation, and washing equipment.
⚙️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
🔹 Perform electropolishing and metal-finishing processes on precision components
🔹 Prepare, load, and unload metal parts onto specialized fixtures
🔹 Ensure parts achieve the required surface finish and appearance
🔹 Inspect polished components for scratches, discoloration, surface imperfections, and other defects
🔹 Operate electropolishing, passivation, and washing equipment
🔹 Adjust voltage, amperage, temperature, and processing times according to job specifications
🔹 Follow detailed work orders and processing instructions
🔹 Utilize gauges, microscopes, and surface analyzers to verify finished-part quality
🔹 Monitor chemical solutions and equipment settings throughout the polishing process
🔹 Clean and maintain polishing equipment, tanks, fixtures, and work areas
🔹 Handle finished parts carefully to prevent damage or contamination
🔹 Maintain strict quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
🔍 Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify surface imperfections
⚙️ Experience in manufacturing, metal polishing, or metal finishing preferred
🛠️ Ability to work with precision metal components
📏 Comfortable following detailed work instructions and quality specifications
🧪 Basic understanding of chemical safety and manufacturing procedures
💻 Basic computer skills
➗ Basic math and measurement skills
🎓 High school diploma or equivalent
💪 Dependable, quality-focused individuals with a strong work ethic
⭐ PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
🔹 Metal polishing or surface-finishing experience
🔹 Electropolishing or passivation experience
🔹 Precision machining or metal fabrication environments
🔹 Quality inspection of finished metal components
🔹 Familiarity with metal-finishing equipment and processes
🔹 Basic knowledge of waste-treatment procedures
