Job Responsibilities:
Coaching, training, developing, and communicating with LOG Department Members
regarding the status of departmental safety/quality/work;
Checking & coordinating LOG Department member work responsibilities;
Knowing, understanding and promoting all customers logistics requirements,
informing other departments of any changes as needed;
Checking and coordinating customer shipping orders daily;
Ensuring daily shipping preparations and actual shipping activities are completed
correctly;
Checking finished goods inventory;
Communicating with customers regarding LOG-related issues;
Communicating with vendors (freight companies, EDI companies, etc.) re LOG issues;
Checking & coordinating LOG returnable/expendable packaging/equipment as needed;
Creating required LOG data or documents;
Conducting daily morning meetings;
Receiving direction from supervisor and informing latter of progress and results;
Communicating with the Managers (or AMGs) of other departments as needed;
Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements;
Attending any necessary meetings and/or audits;
Operating forklift and reach truck as needed;
Some business travel as needed (maybe 5%-10%);
Perform other tasks and duties as required.
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have some Logistics experience in a similar environment to our
company. Minimum Requirement is at least 3 years supervisor experiences in a
manufacturing environment with High School Diploma or GED.
This position also requires candidates to
Be responsible, cooperative, orderly, and to have great leadership skills.
Have solid PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; and
Have excellent numerical skills
7:45am-4:30pm M-F. $18/HR.
