Mancan of Mount Vernon is hiring 3rd Shift Machine Operators in Mount Vernon, OH!
Mancan is partnering with a local manufacturing company to hire Machine Operators for their TY and 12" Boot production cells. These positions involve fabricating and assembling HVAC components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and motivated by production goals.
Schedule:
• Monday–Thursday, 6:30 PM–5:00 AM
• Mandatory overtime as needed, including the possibility of working up to 7 days per week through the end of peak season
• Training on 1st shift for approximately 4–8 weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift
Pay:
• $18.50/hour during the temporary period
• Once hired on full-time, pay transitions to a piece-rate structure, offering the opportunity to increase earnings based on productivity.
Job Duties:
• Operate manufacturing equipment to fabricate and assemble TY fittings or 12" Boot components used in HVAC applications.
• Produce three primary variations of TY fittings ranging from 4" to 18", or manufacture 12" Boot components through various fabrication processes.
• Operate 5–6 manual and semi-automatic machines, depending on the production cell.
• Measure materials and finished products accurately using a tape measure and other precision measuring tools.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and compliance with production standards.
• Handle materials and monitor production output to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks while maintaining a consistent work pace.
• Stand for extended periods and meet the physical demands of the position.
• Cross-train in other production cells as needed.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and established quality standards while meeting production expectations.
Requirements:
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or production experience; manufacturing experience is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn machine operations and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and follow work instructions.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting production goals.
• Willingness to learn, cross-train, and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and stand for extended periods.
