Cleveland company looking for Protective Coatings Industrial Painter Specialist (Lead Painter).
$22+, based on experience
Shift: 1st 7am- 3pm
Position Summary
Serve as the lead painter responsible for applying military and industrial coatings while overseeing a small team (1–2 employees). This individual will ensure proper racking, masking, painting, and inspection of parts in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Apply coatings using HVLP and/or pressure pot spray systems, with a primary focus on military CARC coatings
• Lead and oversee 1–2 team members
• Review and follow detailed work instructions and customer specifications
• Perform post-paint inspection for coverage, defects, and compliance
• Maintain clean and organized work areas including spray booths and equipment
• Communicate production status, quality concerns, and process issues
• Support continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of industrial painting experience
• Mandatory experience using spray guns (HVLP and/or pressure pot)
• Experience with military or aerospace coatings preferred
• Ability to read and follow work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Automotive Painting
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout shift
• Forklift/lift truck experience required or willingness to learn
