Mancan Staffing Temporary Employment Agency is currently looking for Zone Manager for Lee County. This is a contract position for 6-12 months with possibly to extend.

Act as a liaison between site-based administrators and Maintenance management by assisting in the tasks of planning facility needs, construction, renovation, and maintenance services and ensure appropriate safety and security measures are adhered to District-wide.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a technical school, college, or university with certification in engineering, mechanical, electrical, heating-ventilation-air conditioning (HVAC), construction management, or a related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in facilities planning, construction, maintenance administration, or physical plant management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.

• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills.
• Knowledge of commercial building systems.
• Knowledge of large-scale maintenance and repair procedures and protocols.
• Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA. Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.
• Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications.
• Ability to assist and coordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
• Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints.

REPORTS TO: Director, Maintenance Services or Designated Administrator

• Assist with the planning. coordination, and implementation of capital improvement projects, both contracted and in-house, for the facilities of assigned zones and assigned District-wide responsibilities.
• Assist the school-based staff and coordinate with construction services to review the feasibility of the request for facility modification in the designated zone.
• Assist in the organization and implementation of the District-wide preventative maintenance and repair programs and current building technologies.
• Maintain records and prepare accurate reports on a timely basis.
• Review the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) and Health Department reports and assist in the coordination of repairs, clarify discrepancies. and expedite urgent safety concerns.
• Plan, manage, and inspect remodeling and renovation of capital projects completed by internal personnel and/or contractors.
• Approve purchase requisitions up to authorization level and sign invoices for project draws and final payment for maintenance services, projects, and repairs.
• Coordinate logistics and manage interlocal agreements with municipalities and county government and report findings or concerns to the designated administrator.
• Periodically assume the manager-on-duty responsibilities to be on-call after working hours.
• Assist school-based administrators with the selection process of new building supervisors and evaluating existing building supervisors.
• Work with the designated administrator to plan and maintain departmental budgets and bids.
• Comply with applicable safety procedures and regulations.
