Immediate Opening for Quality Control Technician on 3rd shift in Lewis Center, Ohio
Responsibilities.
The ideal Quality Control Technician will be detail oriented, like to follow procedures, willing to learn new things and be good with numbers.
The position encompasses the following:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• Responsible for quality of product made on several plastic blow molding machines. Reviews cycle times, machine set-ups, and finished product.
• Conduct line clearance during line changeovers.
• Work with the Shift Supervisor to coordinate the usage of required resins, regrind and color concentrates.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Correct documentation is critical.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
