Mancan Staffing is hiring a 2nd shift Production Shift Supervisor in New Eagle! You will be entrusted with the responsibility of optimizing production and labor efficiency, ensuring strict adherence to company policies. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing facility opening and closing procedures, proficiency across multiple production lines, and adept handling of material equipment. The incumbent will operate in proximity to rotating machinery, mechanical conveyors, screens, mixers, and power transmission equipment. Additionally, they will be responsible for supervising a team full-time and contract employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly safety training sessions, integrating safety practices into daily assignments.
- Foster an environment of heightened housekeeping standards, setting and achieving daily cleanliness objectives.
- Provide support for the loading and off-loading of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
- Perform daily audits on production rates, product quality, and identify potential safety hazards.
- Facilitate training until compliance with established policies and procedures is confirmed.
- Rectify deficiencies and suboptimal practices, with a focus on waste reduction across all processes.
- Maintain discipline and leverage an understanding of direct reports' strengths to establish growth expectations and development plans.
- Act as a mediator in conflict resolution, with an emphasis on process-oriented, peaceful solutions.
- Hold oneself accountable for preventable failures, prioritizing personal responsibility.
- Effectively communicate adjustments with the production manager and scheduler.
Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma required. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading a tape measure essential. Previous experience in manufacturing, contracting, forklift operation, Bobcat operation, or related fields is mandatory.

Regular working hours from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with the possibility of overtime as needed.
