A busy plastic manufacturing company in Norton is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team!
📍 Location: Norton, OH
🕘 Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00am-5:00pm
💲 Pay: Negotiable based on experience
This is a long-term, temp-to-hire opportunity with a stable company
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, preventative maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Job Duties:
✔ Perform preventative and general maintenance on machinery and equipment
✔ Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and adjust industrial equipment throughout the facility
✔ Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing manuals to determine maintenance schedules and procedures
✔ Develop, utilize, and assist in training others on preventative and predictive maintenance programs
✔ Support and collaborate with cross-functional team members
✔ Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures
✔ Order replacement and new machine parts as needed
✔ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements:
✅ Previous maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
✅ Forklift experience REQUIRED
✅ Pneumatic knowledge and basic 480-volt electrical knowledge required to assist with basic electrical work
✅Hydraulic knowledge is a PLUS
✅ Extrusion line experience is a PLUS
✅ Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
✅ Ability to learn quickly and work in a team-oriented environment
✅ Must pass a pre-employment BMV check, drug screen, and background check
