Join our team as a MIG Welder at our rapidly growing sheet metal facility in Mentor! Work on 1st shift, Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm. Pay starts at $18/hr and up, based on experience. 💼💰
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders for welding requirements and specifications.
Set up and prepare welding equipment, including MIG welding machines, gas cylinders, and related tools.
Weld and join metal components, primarily using the MIG welding process, to fabricate or repair sheet metal products.
Ensure accuracy and quality of welds by following established procedures and maintaining proper welding techniques.
Inspect welded components for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet production targets.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and participate in regular equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a MIG Welder, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong welding skills and knowledge of various welding techniques.
Ability to work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
Physical stamina for a demanding environment.
Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
Good communication skills and team collaboration.
