**Job Title: Layout Technician**
**Shift:** First Shift (Flexible Hours)
**Location:** Orrville
**Wage:** Not less than $17 per hour
**Hours: Monday - Friday 4a or 6a - 2:30p
**Responsibilities:**
- Operate and understand layout equipment to verify dimensions of castings against blueprints and 3-D models.
- Apply working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring compliance with geometric tolerances.
- Inspect and measure castings, verifying dimensions against drawings.
- Operate measurement equipment, including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and laser scanning tools.
- Utilize Faro Arm and Polyworks software for inspection purposes.
- Analyze results and effectively communicate findings.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of machined castings, providing feedback for improvement.
- Calibrate gauges and maintain records of calibration and location per ISO specifications.
- Perform various inspections on equipment and parts, including Patterns, Core boxes, and cores.
- Use machines to cut castings when necessary for the inspection of internal features.
**Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Adequate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to operate a band saw.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 70 pounds.
**Preferred Qualifications (Not Necessary):**
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Laser Scanning.
- Knowledge of ISO requirements.
