Shift Supervisor

Mancan is working with a company in Sugarcreek seeking a working supervisor. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate based on attitude, attendance, and performance. The pay is $21/hour and the hours are 5:30 am - 4 pm Monday-Thursday.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our woodworking team as a working supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, coupled with excellent leadership and motivational skills. While prior supervisory experience is a plus, we are open to candidates who demonstrate the potential to lead and inspire a team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations while honing leadership abilities.
Responsibilities:
Woodworking Expertise:
- Utilize advanced woodworking skills to contribute to the production process.
- Provide guidance and hands-on assistance to team members in the execution of woodworking tasks.
Leadership and Motivation:
- Lead by example through exemplary work ethic and craftsmanship.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
Supervision:
- Oversee day-to-day woodworking operations.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to team members based on skills and project requirements.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that finished products meet quality standards through regular inspections.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to team members for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in woodworking.
- Strong leadership abilities with the potential to supervise and guide a team effectively.
- Motivated and self-driven individual capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
- Stamina for prolonged periods of standing and physical labor.
