CNC Machinist

Job Description:
A Boardman Engineering Company is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who can operate and program CNC lathe and mill machines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CNC machining, be proficient with Hass controls (Fanuc), and have expertise in G & M code programming. Additionally, we are looking for someone who can take on a leadership role and be a Team Leader, guiding and supporting fellow machinists.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC lathe and mill machines with Hass controls (Fanuc).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure the quality of finished products by conducting regular inspections and measurements.
- Troubleshoot and adjust CNC programs as needed to optimize machine performance.
- Train and mentor junior machinists, serving as a Team Leader to support and improve team performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in lathe and mill operations.
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Hass controls (Fanuc).
- Strong understanding of G & M code programming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Leadership skills and experience guiding and mentoring team members (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
Work Schedule:
This is a dayshift position, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Compensation:
