Position: Part-Time Event Coordinator

The Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing our diverse event portfolio, handling both incoming leads and cultivating new business opportunities. With meticulous attention to detail, they ensure flawless execution of every event, striving to exceed expectations at every turn.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Tailors pricing packages to suit the unique needs of each event guest.
- Conducts venue tours and oversees event setup to perfection.
- Maintains seamless communication between clients and venue staff throughout the event planning process.
- Ensures all Banquet Event Orders are meticulously documented and communicated to the management team.
- Provides regular updates and insights to the management team throughout the event lifecycle.
- Solicits feedback from guests post-event to continuously improve our offerings and attract new business.
- Responsively handles all incoming leads via phone, email, and the Gather website.
- Manages and oversees all aspects of event packages, from inception to completion.
- Facilitates secure payment transactions via credit card, cash, or check.
- Keeps abreast of venue space availability and pricing across all locations.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

- Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent); 1-3 years of experience as an Event Coordinator; Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a focus in Marketing or Event Planning.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in reading and analyzing financial reports and legal documents; ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, and familiarity with Google Docs and spreadsheets.
- Other Qualifications: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Physical Demands:

While primarily office-based, this role requires occasional movement within the office environment. The individual must be able to operate office equipment and interact with colleagues and customers effectively. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds may be required.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically low to moderately noisy with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The individual frequently operates in a controlled climate setting.
