Job Summary:
As a Restoration Technician, you will be on the front lines of disaster recovery, providing essential restoration services to both commercial and residential properties affected by water damage. Your role is critical in helping our clients return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to affected sites promptly to assess water damage and begin the restoration process.
Extract water using pumps and vacuums, and dry out affected areas with air movers and dehumidifiers.
Remove damaged materials such as carpeting, drywall, and insulation, and prepare for repairs.
Sanitize affected areas to prevent mold and mildew growth.
Document the restoration process with before-and-after photos and detailed notes.
Communicate effectively with property owners and insurance representatives regarding the scope of work and progress.
Maintain equipment and ensure all tools are in good working order.
Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in restoration work, particularly related to water damage.
Ability to work in challenging conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.
Strong customer service skills and empathy for clients in distress.
Valid driver’s license with less than 2 points
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow complex instructions.
Flexibility to work on-call for emergency situations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous physical tasks.
Comfortable working in wet, damp environments and wearing protective gear.
Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
