Job Title: Groundskeeper
Mancan Staffing is hiring for a groundskeeper in Moundsville WV who is responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of a property, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing. This role includes landscaping, lawn care, and seasonal maintenance to keep the grounds in excellent condition. This position is a temp to hire opportunities with a small family owned company. Pay is $17 an hour with the opportunity to work up to 60 hours a week for overtime. Typical hours are M-F 8am-5pm but able to work later and on weekends. Employee must have a drivers license and a reliable car for transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mow, trim, and edge lawns to maintain a neat appearance.
• Plant, water, and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Remove weeds, debris, and litter from outdoor spaces.
• Perform minor maintenance on outdoor structures such as fences, benches, and walkways.
• Clear snow, ice, and fallen leaves from walkways and driveways as needed.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
• Primarily outdoors, requiring exposure to various weather conditions.
• Physical labor, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
• May require early morning or weekend work, depending on the season.
