Building Maintenance

Mancan is working with a hotel in Berlin seeking a maintenance worker. Standard hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with some weekends on-call. Pay is based on experience, between $18-$25 per hour. This position involves routine and emergency repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Repair and maintain guest room equipment, public area fixtures, and hotel infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues such as clogs, leaks, and fixture replacements.
- Perform electrical repairs including outlets, light fixtures, switches, and wiring.
- Patch and repair drywall, apply paint, and conduct other cosmetic improvements as needed.
- Maintain and repair vacuum cleaners and other custodial equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies during assigned shifts.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall repair, and painting.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Availability for on-call and weekend shifts as needed.
