**Position Overview:**
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in diagnosing malfunctions, repairing equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery. If you're skilled in mechanical maintenance, have a passion for resolving issues, and want to be part of a well-established business, this position is tailor-made for you.
**Responsibilities:**
- **Inspection and Testing:** Inspect and test machinery, equipment, structures, and materials to diagnose malfunctions and locate damage, defects, or wear.
- **Troubleshooting and Repair:** Collaborate with supervisors and other maintenance workers to diagnose problems and efficiently repair machines.
- **Maintenance Tasks:** Perform cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance tasks on machinery, including shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
- **Equipment Installation:** Assist in the installation, dismantling, reassembly, and movement of machines and equipment as required.
- **Precision Measurement:** Utilize hand tools such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in repair work.
- **Electrical Repairs:** Install, dismantle, repair, and adjust electrical apparatus, transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- **Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems:** Develop, fabricate, assemble, and install conveyor systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- **Welding and Metalworking:** Operate cutting torches, welding equipment, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools for part repair and fabrication.
- **Documentation:** Read and interpret technical information including manuals, blueprints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair duties. Maintain documentation of actions, problems, progress, and ongoing needs.
- **Safety and Organization:** Follow strict safety protocols, maintain organized work areas, and ensure orderly work practices.
**Qualifications:**
- **Mechanical Maintenance Experience:** Possess substantial mechanical maintenance experience with a strong background in equipment troubleshooting and repair.
**Working Hours:**
Enjoy 2nd shift hours from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. 3rd shift Sunday to Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
**Compensation:**
Compensation is based on experience (BOE).
