Restaurant Worker

Mancan is working with a restaurant in Walnut Creek seeking hosts for morning and evening shifts. Hours will vary based upon the needs of the restaurant. The pay is $14 per hour. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate based on attitude, attendance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, offering a friendly and professional first impression.
- Manage the seating plan to ensure an efficient flow of service, escort guests to their tables, and provide menus.
- Handle reservations over the phone, online, or in-person, and coordinate with the restaurant team to accommodate guest preferences and special requests.
- Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods, communicating wait times clearly and courteously to guests.
- Observe the dining area to anticipate guest needs, manage table turnover, and maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
