Shift: First Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate:$25.00/hour (higher based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (30-day temp period, then direct hire)
Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Injection Molding Technician to join our team. This is a first-shift role ideal for someone with 5+ years of plastics industry experience, especially those with prior Process Technician backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, able to work independently, and motivated to contribute to a high-performance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove and install plastic injection molds in alignment with production schedules.
- Perform insert changeovers, cleaning, and routine preventative maintenance on mold tooling.
- Follow standard operating procedures to start and cycle molding presses.
- Participate in first-piece inspections and job sampling.
- Accurately maintain production and downtime records.
- Perform in-process quality checks using SPC and gauging tools.
- Assist production staff and respond to supervisor/management requests as needed.
- Identify opportunities for safety, process, or efficiency improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Attend required training sessions.
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and self-motivated work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Prior experience as a Process Technician or similar role in injection molding.
- Crane or lift operation experience.
