This is a full time, temp to hire position
Job Summary:
The Power Bend will operate CNC and manual bending equipment to fabricate steel and stainless-steel tubes to customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Reviews work orders for quality and accuracy; and bends material according to specifications.
• Transports supplies, and finished goods manually and/or using fork trucks and skids.
• Notify department head when problems arise to resolve issues with customer orders.
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Production Skills and Qualifications: Contributes to process improvement, adequate computer skills, efficient with tape measure, micrometer, and blue print reading.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Experienced in blueprint reading, angles, and X-Y-Z axis.
• Computer programming preferred.
• Efficient use of tape measure, high gauge, and fork lift.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math (counting) and written communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related warehouse experience preferred in working with metal fabrication.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work long periods on your feet.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
Must pass a pre employment background check and drug screen.
