Mancan Staffing is now hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in the Cambridge area!

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operational reliability of plant equipment. This role encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities aimed at maintaining equipment functionality and minimizing downtime. Tasks include system maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and proactive identification of improvement opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Uphold Safety Standards: Foster a safe working environment by strictly adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, along with compliance with company safety regulations, OSHA requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

2. Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily equipment inspections, utilize lockout/tag-out procedures, and collaborate with Line Leaders to track, plan, and execute changeovers. This includes maintaining accurate documentation such as changeover logs, cleaning logs, machine maintenance records, and department reports.

3. Reporting and Communication: Promptly report downtime incidents, equipment malfunctions, or any abnormal conditions to the Maintenance Manager and/or General Manager. Effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including outside services as necessary.

4. Technical Expertise: Conduct a range of maintenance tasks including machine set up and tear down, troubleshooting electrical control panels, equipment installation/uninstallation, repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment functionality.

5. Team Collaboration: Interface with colleagues to support various projects, organize and prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a collaborative work environment conducive to achieving operational excellence.

6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work activities align with regulatory requirements, particularly in maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards, to uphold product quality and safety.

7. Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks on assigned production equipment to preemptively address potential issues and prolong equipment lifespan.

8. Workplace Organization: Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety standards within the work area to promote efficiency, safety, and a positive working environment.

Qualifications:

- Education: High School Diploma or GED.

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role, preferably within an FDA regulated manufacturing industry.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings.
