Mancan is in partnership with a Weirton based manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Assembly Line Operator. This position is afternoon shift hours Mon-Fri 3:30pm-Midnight, pay rate is $17/hr to start. The Line Operator will be responsible for assembling parts efficiently and safely while ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires working on a fast-paced assembly line, following specific procedures, and maintaining equipment to guarantee the production of reliable and high-performance parts. Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble parts on a production line following detailed work instructions and assembly diagrams.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Perform visual inspections and tests on components to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use hand tools and machinery to assemble various parts.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor the assembly process, troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.
• Ensure all components are correctly assembled, and final products meet regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular maintenance on assembly equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Document production output and report any issues to supervisors or quality control teams.
• Perform final quality checks before products are sent for packaging and distribution.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and environmental concerns.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment preferred.
• Experience with assembly of mechanical parts is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of assembly techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with precision and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on the assembly line.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods and work on a production line.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as required.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
