Mancan Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist in Mansfield, Ohio.
CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift
Responsibilities:
• Operates conventional, special purpose, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to machine metallic and nonmetallic parts applying knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, and shop mathematics.
Requirements:
• This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with a range of sophisticated machinery.
• Read and comprehend drawings, work instructions, and any special specifications to effectively and safely machine part.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Must be a team player
Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of machining experience, set-up experience preferred
• Ability to read prints
