Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including troubleshooting machinery, performing routine preventative maintenance, and ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our production facilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical Systems:** Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment, including CNC Lathes and Mills.
2. **Troubleshooting and Preventative Maintenance:** Identify and address machinery issues, conduct routine preventative maintenance, and ensure machinery operates efficiently.
3. **Technical Documentation:** Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals for equipment and systems.
4. **Inspection and Testing:** Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
5. **Equipment Repair and Installation:** Clean, repair, and install equipment and parts as needed to minimize downtime.
6. **Tool Operation:** Operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
7. **Workspace Organization:** Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
8. **Safety Compliance:** Comply with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
9. **Building Maintenance:** Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician with expertise in CNC Lathes and Mills.
- Proficiency and knowledge in the following:
- Okuma, Mori Seiki, HAAS CNC Lathes.
- Troubleshooting and operating Fanuc Controls.
- Troubleshooting Drives, Power Supplies, Servo Motors, Encoders, and other electrical components.
- Calibrating, checking run-out, and adjusting CNC Lathes/Mills.
- Mechanical workings of CNC Lathes/Mills.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- 5 years of experience with machining and fabrication of repair parts, including MIG and Stick Welding.
- Familiarity with equipment in a machine shop, such as band saws, mills, grinders, and lathes.
- Trade or vocational school graduation preferred; HVAC certification is a plus.
- Strong computer skills.
- Physical dexterity to perform maintenance tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
**Additional Expectations:**
- Candidates are required to provide their own basic mechanic/maintenance tool set for the job.
**Note:** The salary for this position is up to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
