This is a full time, temp to hire position
Job Summary:
The Bridgeport Operator (Manual Machinist) will drill and tap tubing and hydraulic fittings per customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Fabricates hydraulic tubing and hydraulic fittings per customer print.
• Rework tooling.
• Drills holes in tubing in preparation for fitting installation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Work with engineers to improve the design of tools, fixtures and automated equipment.
• Maintain cutting, stamping and powder metal compaction dies by cleaning, grinding, honing and lapping.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing equipment.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• CNC vertical milling machine
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
• Efficient use of calipers and height gauge.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math (counting) and written communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills and ability to effectively multitask.
• Basic computer literacy needed.
• Creative problem solving
• Attention to detail
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5-7 years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work long periods on your feet.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
