We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in the gas and oil field industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, with a focus on ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of our equipment and structures. You will play a crucial role in the maintenance and construction of critical infrastructure for the gas and oil field operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Welding and Fabrication:** Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks, including but not limited to, cutting, shaping, and joining various metals such as steel and aluminum.
2. **Blueprint Interpretation:** Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate and precise work.
3. **Safety Compliance:** Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
4. **Equipment Maintenance:** Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning and longevity.
5. **Quality Assurance:** Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to verify that it meets industry standards and specifications.
6. **Material Handling:** Safely handle and transport materials, ensuring that they are used efficiently and effectively.
7. **Welding Techniques:** Utilize various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to achieve the desired results.
8. **Assembly and Installation:** Assemble and install fabricated components and structures at the gas and oil field sites.
9. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
10. **Team Collaboration:** Collaborate with team members, engineers, and project managers to plan and execute welding and fabrication projects effectively.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator in the gas and oil field industry or a related field.
- Valid welding certifications and knowledge of welding codes and standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and confined spaces.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
**Education:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certifications or vocational training in welding and fabrication is preferred.
**License/Certifications:**
- Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME, API) are a plus.
**Work Environment:**
- This position may require working in outdoor and challenging conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures and heights.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided.
Hours: Monday- Friday 6a-430p
