Mancan Staffing is seeking a **Finish Grinder** for a busy manufacturing facility in Washington, PA!
**Job Summary:**
The Finish Grinder will be responsible for performing both rough and finish grinding operations to prepare metal parts for various paint finishes. This includes smoothing out bad welds to create a clean, cosmetically appealing surface. The ideal candidate will understand different grades of abrasives and how to apply them to achieve the desired surface finish while maintaining efficient production levels.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Operate disc and belt grinders to remove material and meet dimensional requirements.
* Prepare surfaces for painting by grinding and smoothing parts to proper finish levels.
* Evaluate ground surfaces to ensure they meet finish standards.
* Repair weld joints to improve appearance and functionality.
* Maintain safety and quality standards throughout the process.
**Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 1 year experience in finishing/grinding in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.
* Strong understanding of abrasives and surface finish requirements.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently.
* Good attention to detail and quality control.
Details:
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
Location: Washington, PA
