Mancan is currently looking for a construction project assistant. This candidate must be familiarity with construction administration processes, including RFIs and Submittals. Must have experience working with subcontractors or supporting construction project documentation.

The Construction Project Assistant provides administrative and logistical support to construction project managers, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. Their duties include assisting with tasks like document management, communication, scheduling, and coordinating resources. They act as a key point of contact for various stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Document Management:
Organizing and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, permits, and drawings.
• Communication:
Facilitating communication between project managers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. This includes scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing meeting minutes.
• Scheduling and Coordination:
Assisting with the development and maintenance of project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Resource Management:
Helping to track and manage project materials, equipment, and other resources.
• Submittals and RFIs:
Managing the submittal process, reviewing submittals for completeness and accuracy, and coordinating responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Quality Control:
Assisting with site inspections and ensuring that work is performed according to plans and specifications.
• Cost Control:
May assist with tracking project costs and identifying potential cost overruns.
• Administrative Tasks:
Handling general office duties, such as answering phones, filing paperwork, and ordering supplies.
• Safety Compliance:
Ensuring that the job site adheres to safety regulations and protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills are essential for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction terminology, plans, and specifications.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others.
• Construction Knowledge: A basic understanding of construction principles and practices is often preferred, according to some job descriptions.
